Privacy Policy

Overview

Carina ("we", "us"), a product of SoCal Decals, is a simple appointment-booking app for independent service professionals ("pros") and the customers who book them. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account: your mobile phone number (used to sign in via a one-time code) and, for pros, a display name.
• Pro profile (pros only): business name, profession, an optional photo, an optional bio, an optional work address or meeting places, and optional "highlights". You choose what to make public on your booking page.
• Bookings: when a customer books, we store the customer's name and phone number, the appointment time and service, and any notes, reference photos, or answers to the pro's intake questions the customer chooses to provide.
• Location (optional): if a pro offers mobile visits or shared meeting places, addresses are converted to approximate map coordinates to show a map and estimate travel. A mobile pro's home base is kept private.
• Payments (pros only, when subscriptions launch): handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, not your card details.
• Basic technical data needed to run the app (e.g., your language and display preferences).

How we use information

We use your information to provide the booking service: to let customers find and book pros, to show pros their schedule and clients, to send appointment confirmations and reminders, and to operate core features (e.g., limiting abuse, moderating uploaded photos, and, for pros, managing a subscription). We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing between users

A pro's public booking page (name, business, profession, photo, and anything they opt to publish) is visible to anyone with the link. When a customer books, the information they provide for that booking is shared with that pro so the pro can prepare for and fulfill the appointment. We are not a party to the relationship between a pro and their customers.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors that process data on our behalf: Supabase (secure hosting and database), Twilio (sending verification codes and appointment text messages), Google Maps (turning addresses into map coordinates and showing maps), OpenAI (automatically screening uploaded photos for unsafe content), and Apple / Google / RevenueCat (subscription billing). Each processes only what is needed for its function.

Retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the in-app menu ("Delete account"). Deleting your account removes your profile and the data tied to it. Where a booking record must remain on a pro's calendar, your personal details on that record are removed. Some information may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

Children

Carina is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You control what a pro profile makes public, whether to add an address or photo, and which intake questions to enable. You can delete your account in-app at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
